Unfortunately, these products from elsewhere have a major impact on the climate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"swatch-white\">According to the authors of the study, the&nbsp;&#8220;<small><br \/>\n  &nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/small>food miles<small><br \/>\n  &nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/small>&#8221;&nbsp;are probably responsible for around 6<small><br \/>\n  &nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/small>% of global greenhouse gas emissions, with the transport of food for human consumption producing 3 billion tonnes of&nbsp;CO2 equivalent every year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"swatch-white\">The scientists analyzed seventy-four countries and regions, and thirty-seven different types of food.
