
Electric cars have been the talk of the town ever since they were invented, sparking passionate debate. A new study by theInternational Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) compares the climate impact of electric and combustion-powered vehicles, taking into account their entire life cycles. The former are still less polluting than their predecessors.

The relocalization of lithium extraction should not only make us more strategically independent, but also improve the carbon and economic footprints of our production base. Importing raw materials from the other side of the world is not a sustainable solution. The challenges of the next few years will be to succeed in producing lithium locally, sustainably and more virtuously from geological sources. Not forgetting, of course, the need to increase our recycling capacities so as not to squander our resources.
