The hashtag #BamaRush enjoyed unprecedented success on TikTok for the University of Alabama’s sorority recruitment week. In the videos in which the students explain their reasons for joining one or other of the sororities, we see the many outfits they have planned and hear them list the brands that can be found under the hashtag #BamaRushootd or #Rushootd (for Outfit of the day). And even if they include designer brandsFast fashion is over-represented here, with brands such as Shein, The Pants Store, Amazon, Princess Polly and Pretty Little Thing.
