The winners in the five categories received a prize of £1 million (1.1 million Swiss francs) after being selected by a jury comprising Prince William, Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan, Sir David Attenborough, former UN climate chief Christiana Figueres, businessman Jack Ma and climate campaigner Luisa Neubauer. Prizes were awarded in five categories: protecting and restoring nature, cleaning up the air, reviving the oceans, building a waste-free world and repairing the climate.
Notpla has the potential to replace over 100 million plastic containers in the future. But also to revolutionize luxury packaging!
Just a few weeks ago, ID Genève launched Notpla, the watch industry’s first algae-based compostable packaging. The watch case is made from algae biomass, which is 100% compostable and biodegradable. This advanced packaging solution was designed for performance, not durability. The ID watch case in Notpla Rigid disintegrates easily in nature in just 4 to 6 weeks, without the need for industrial composting or special conditions.
