The 4 Day Week program just launched in the UK echoes similar programs in Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Israel and Spain. This concept was born in Japan from the observation that many cases of heart failure could be caused by overwork. That’s why Panasonic has introduced the four-day week on a large scale. This idea is also gaining ground in Switzerland, wherethe 4-day working week with 100% pay is already in use in some small pioneering companies.
