The electric car promotes the partial decarbonization of transport. What about battery recycling?

The International Energy Agency estimates that demand for batteries will increase 17-fold between 2019 and 2030 due to the expected growth in electric mobility. The manufacture of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) has already increased 80-fold between 2000 and 2018. There are many questions surrounding the materials used to manufacture these batteries, and the impact of their extraction and recycling.

The NGO Greenpeace has published a list of destinations that enable travelers to limit their greenhouse gas emissions while enjoying a change of scenery. Destinations are calculated according to vacation time, such as a weekend in Barcelona or a long vacation in Puglia.
