The arrival of a clean, high-performance, low-cost battery technology seems rather unlikely, which is why it is essential to slow the growth in the size of electric vehicle batteries, and therefore to limit the power, mass and range of the vehicles themselves. it also means that we need to rethink our mobility by abandoning the car-based model rather than seeking to replace the combustion engine with the electric motor.
