The Festival will be held in Geneva from Monday August 28 to Saturday September 2. This year, the organizing committee has decided to define a more collaborative program, giving more power to the 130 member associations to organize conferences and workshops.
The committee has also launched a project with the Canton of Geneva to involve children in creative activities over the summer, the fruits of which will be presented at the Village on Saturday.
On Wednesday August 30, a special textile-themed event will take place at the Jardins de la Jonction. You'll find a barter, a garment darning workshop, the Patagonia garment repair truck and other activities.
For Saturday at Parc des Bastions, the organization has also been rethought, and the Village will be divided into 6 themed areas to facilitate synergies between member associations and make the Alternatives Village more user-friendly.
Another new activity for families will take place on Sunday September 3 at the Musée d'Ethnographie in Geneva, with guided tours of the exhibitions.
