The “Transport & Environment” (T&E) organization has published a report aimed at limiting the use of private flights. It has ranked the efforts, or rather lack of efforts, to decarbonize the business travel of 230 major American and European companies.
According to the organization, “ambitious commitments on business travel would help reduce global greenhouse gas emissions”. Furthermore, “business travel is one of the main drivers of aviation demand. If we cut them by 50%, this would reduce emissions by 32.6 million tonnes of CO2 by 2030 in Europe, equivalent to taking 16 million polluting cars off the road”, says the report.
