Getting involved to become global citizens
The UN Secretary-General told the young graduates that they now had the opportunity to be the leaders “our world needs”, a world “overflowing with perils”, with wars and divisions on a scale not seen for decades. He explained that throughout history “humanity has shown that we are capable of great things. But only when we work together. Only when we overcome differences and work in the same direction, with the same goal”.
