This unusual scientist has been taking part in civil disobedience actions since 2018, notably alongside the Extinction Rebellion movement. She said in a statement:
“I’m here as a mother, as a citizen, as a teacher and as a scientist. It’s no exaggeration to say that the habitability of our planet is being destroyed before our very eyes. What would be insane would be not to do everything in our power, including non-violent civil action, to save a possible future for our species and the living things on which we all depend.”
