Lappeenranta, a carbon-neutral city by 2030, with zero waste by 2050.

Lappeenranta, a small town in southern Finland, has been awarded the European Commission’s 2021 “European Green Leaf” award for its ecological excellence. It could be the first city on the continent to achieve carbon neutrality and zero waste.
