Switzerland reaches its ecological exceedance day on May 11, 2021.
Global Footprint Network reported on Monday that the Swiss Confederation had (already) reached its “day of ecological overshoot”. In concrete terms, this means that since January 1, the Swiss have consumed the equivalent of the resources that the planet is capable of regenerating in one year.
