The motor weighs just 42 kilos, while the batteries weigh 224. It’s a start, but it’s not enough.  “The next step will be to develop hydrogen propulsion, with fuel cells that generate electricity directly from the hydrogen oxidation reaction. The process has been known since the early 19th century, and the current challenge is to make these systems lighter and less expensive.”  It will be the turn of the next group of students to equip an airplane. The idea behind a focus project is to enable students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and pass it on to the next generation when they leave school. In this case, the third group has already taken over.
