According to the 3rd part of the 6th IPCC report, the world still has every chance of rapidly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but drastic and rapid reductions are needed in all sectors and all nations to keep warming to safe levels, according to the world authority on climate change. The report states that while the opportunities for affordable reductions in global emissions have greatly increased since the last such assessment in 2014, at the same time the need for action has also become much more urgent.
