Gastronomie-Sommet-Ducasse

September 21 from 9 a.m. in Monaco, with live broadcasts.

Food is a major factor in the fight against climate change. Gastronomy, as the art of cooking, can play an important role in promoting more sustainable consumption patterns, and the way we eat can have a significant impact on the environment. The Sustainable Gastronomy Summit aims to explore the entire food chain, from production to consumption. This event will bring together gastronomic players, scientists, producers and young leaders in the ecological transition. Together, they will share their knowledge and experience to build a more sustainable gastronomy.

The Sustainable Food Charter, to be drawn up at the Summit, will be an important tool for promoting more responsible consumption patterns. It will be deployed throughout the gastronomic community, to inspire chefs, producers and consumers to take action to protect the planet.

The numerous guests and speakers, including three-star chef Mauro Colagreco, will discuss five specific themes throughout the day:

  • Farming and fishing in a time of climate change
  • Cooking from the source of taste
  • Committed to responsible initiatives
  • Restoring food education
  • What does the future hold for gastronomy?
